- Piero Dorazio studied architecture at the Scuola Superiore di Architettura, University of Rome (1945–1951). 1946 founding member of the group Arte Sociale. 1947 founding member of Futura 1. 1948 member of Movimento Arte Concreta (MAC). 1946 founding member of group and gallery Age d’Or, Rome, Florence, and Milan. 1952 founder of the Fondazione Origine, an exhibition and documentation center for modern art, Rome. 1960–1970 teaching assignment at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA, where he founded the Institute of Contemporary Art in 1963.
