Kunst- und Museumsbibliothek der Stadt Köln

Established in 1957, the ‘KMB’ Kunst- und Museumsbibliothek comprises well over 500 000 documents, which makes it one of the largest public art and museum libraries for modern art and photography in the world. With the aid of the Document Delivery Service, this reference library is able to place its holdings at the disposal of the region and beyond.
The KMB’s rich stock covers a great diversity of items on visual art from the Middle Ages to the present day. The Collection specialises in twentieth and twenty-first-century visual art, photography, the art of the Benelux countries, and the applied arts and design.
